Pyrion, the gifted demigod son of the Sea God, and Thalion, the fire demigod born of Hephaestus, have been sworn rivals for three hundred years as they compete for Olympus' newly created Thirteenth God Seat. Unknown to everyone, Pyrion's constant provocations are his clumsy way of hiding a long-held love for Thalion. But Thalion mistakes every gesture as an attempt to pursue his beloved sister, Lyra, driving the two further apart.
